VISAC ETHICS & VALUES
Technology has power. Intelligence has consequences. How we build matters.
VISAC builds security and intelligence technology with a clear belief: innovation must strengthen human capability, freedom, dignity and resilience.
OUR PRINCIPLES
Ten principles guide what we build, who we work with and how we operate.
These principles are intended to shape technology decisions, partnerships, product development and the responsibilities that come with building security-critical systems.
Truth Before Convenience
We build systems around evidence, not assumptions. When reality is complex, we do not simplify it merely to make the answer easier.
Intelligence Must Remain Accountable
AI can accelerate analysis and decision support. Responsibility for consequential outcomes remains with people.
Build for Consequence
Security technology operates where failure matters. We design with the real-world consequences of detection, recommendation and action in mind.
Protect What Cannot Be Replaced
People, infrastructure, information and trust are not abstract assets. They are responsibilities.
Progress Without Losing Control
Innovation is valuable only when it increases capability without sacrificing security, transparency or meaningful human control.
Technology Must Serve Freedom
We will not knowingly support governments, regimes or entities where the use of our technology would enable repression, persecution or systematic violations of fundamental human rights.
Technology Must Create Positive Impact
We are committed to dedicating a portion of our profits to social, humanitarian and community initiatives as VISAC grows.
Privacy Is a Fundamental Right
Privacy is a component of human dignity and freedom. We seek to minimise unnecessary collection and protect sensitive information.
Human Judgement Comes First
We build intelligence to augment human judgement, never to eliminate human responsibility. AI informs. Humans decide.
Earn Trust, Don't Assume It
Trust is earned through transparency, reliability and integrity. We will be honest about what our technology can do, cannot do and where uncertainty remains.
OUR RED LINES
There are uses and relationships VISAC will not knowingly enable.
Our commitment to responsible technology includes clear boundaries around human rights, democratic freedoms, repression and conduct incompatible with international peace and security.
Human Rights
We do not knowingly support systematic violations of fundamental human rights or the use of technology to facilitate such violations.
Democracy & Freedom
We do not knowingly enable repression of democratic principles, freedom of thought, freedom of expression or legitimate civic participation.
Responsible Security
We do not build or knowingly deploy technology for political persecution, unlawful surveillance or systematic repression.
Peace & International Security
We do not knowingly support actors engaged in aggression, terrorism, war crimes or conduct fundamentally incompatible with international peace and security.
POSITIVE IMPACT
Success should create impact beyond the balance sheet.
VISAC is being built as a commercial technology company, but commercial success is not the only measure of success.
As VISAC grows, so should its ability to contribute.
We are committed to dedicating a portion of our profits to social, humanitarian and community initiatives. Our ambition is to support people and communities facing hardship, conflict, displacement or critical need.
Supporting initiatives that strengthen communities and expand opportunity.
Contributing to people affected by crisis, displacement and critical need.
Making positive impact part of VISAC's growth, rather than an occasional campaign.
RESPONSIBLE INTELLIGENCE
AI informs. Humans decide.
VISAC systems may identify patterns, assess risks, correlate evidence and recommend courses of action. They are designed to strengthen human judgement — not to transfer accountability to a machine.
Explainability
Where decisions depend on intelligence, the underlying reasoning and evidence should remain understandable.
Human Oversight
Consequential decisions require appropriate human review, judgement and accountability.
Uncertainty
We do not hide uncertainty. We expose it so decision-makers can understand the limits of available intelligence.
VISAC ETHICS & VALUES
Security without freedom is not security.
We build with purpose. We operate with principle. We use technology to protect human potential — not to diminish it.
